Why something tells me the majority of these fools are from East New York, Brownsville, Jamaica and the Rockaways. SMH

Long daiquiri lines spark massive brawl inside NYC casino | New York Post
Activating Nywriterdude and Glendale. Where is gentrification when you need it? These folks in this video were a bunch of uncivilized animals. When I first saw this video, I find it hard to belive that this happened in NYC and it looks like something that would happen in the South. I hope this don't happen during the autoshow at the Javits Center. Mean while in the East Village today folks were having an organized civilized pillow fight!

It may have occurred because of "Gang Week".

What can you say...a bunch of ghetto asss people acting like savages. I'm not surprised one bit.

And then you wonder why negative stereotypes exist against these people. This type of behavior and lifestyle is more the norm than the exception. Gentrification couldn't come any soon to flush these people out of NY.

Seriously, we need gentrification to run through north Brooklyn and than east Brooklyn like a wild fire taking out everything in its path until it hits south Jamaica. I'd rather see a bunch of hipster transplants playing slots than a bunch of native savages brawling at a place they were supposed to go to for a party.

I've seen a public fights on the street...(oh and they weren't black people) but a bunch of druggie hipsters in that hipster paradise of West Brooklyn.

Even if they were acting civilized and speaking Queens English they would still have negative stereotypes against them.

As far as "behavior" and "lifestyle" I've seen fighting among suburban white kids who've never been to a ghetto a day in thier life...and can you guess the type of people they try to emulate and act like?

Except it isn't. Take a look at the income guidelines for most of the affordable housing.

I have always urged people to apply, lots of working class people. It turned out that most make far too much, one of them told me that many of the "affordables" are geared toward incomes that must be welfare and/or minimum-wage jobs. I checked and it is not far from the truth.

Wondering if anyone at all pays attention to the discussions around the fact that New York will soon be a city of the very wealthy and the very poor. I am guessing not. These discussions do not take place here, by the way.

So perhaps you should grow accustomed to this.

Their behavior is inexcusable.

At the same time, keep in mind that people's attitudes toward them often have a lot to do with wanting to distance themselves because they are too close themselves. People with significant wealth are actually more sympathetic. You can afford to be, perhaps - no pun intended.
