Hey Everyone,

I'm flying into the city this weekend, and I'm curious as to what the best way to get to my hotel is. My hotel will be located in Manhattan near times square. I guess my main question is... Should I order a car service, or take a cab at curbside? My sister has used 'Charter Premier Exclusive' in the past and she told me they were great, I'm just trying to see if anyone else has some kind of input...

Thanks Ahead of time for your advice...

Take the monorail and subway - that's what us regular folk do.

Depends on your budget.

Taxis are fast and plentiful but you're caught by a meter if there's traffic, of which there's plenty by Times Sq.

I would agree take the Air Train to the A train and go to Times Square that way.

Another option would be the buses that go but they make stops along the way to other hotels. They cost less than $20 IIRC.

Or take the Air Train to Jamaica and get the Long Island Railroad into Penn Station.

JFK to Manhattan fares are not metered - traffic is irrelevant to the fare, it's always $52 + tolls and tip.

Taxi's are not allowed to charge the rider for tolls. This was a big issue a few years back the TLC had to pay thousands in fines.

Consider checking your facts before writing on a public forum. Taxis always pass on the (EZPass discounted) cost of tolls to riders.

I've taken one of those shuttles before that bring you into centralized locations that weren't crazy expensive.

Take the A or the E train if you're on a budget.
