I'm going to the dmv today to get my permit. I already passed all 4 tests for it, I just didn't have my passport with me last time. So once I have my permit, I can start driving at a school right?
I'm list #110x. Any idea when I'll get a pre-orientation letter? Also, do you guys think I'm in the right position for now, meaning having my permit and paper work all ready? Anything else I need to do besides get my actual cdl license?

I'm pretty sure the concensus on here is that if they're only gonna hire 300 SW, they might only get to list # in the 900s or so. However, being prepared never hurts.
Screwed how? Saying he should have at least his permit by now?
Relax, you are not screwed. People are teasing you. Read the letter they sent you. They tell you what you need. Just get your permit. You probably won't make the classes this year with your list number.
Anyone know what I can do to see if a pre-orientation letter has been sent? My list # is in 500's and I just moved this week. I updated my address with DCAS today and they told me they do not handle the pre-orientation letters so they can't tell me if one was sent to my old address, and that I should contact 311 to get # to DSNY. 311 said they do not have contact info for DSNY. I Don't trust the post office to forward my mail so I'm worried I will not get the letter if it was sent.
Thanks
