A cop was stripped of his gun and badge Friday after a shocking video of him pointing the weapon at bystanders during an arrest in Harlem was posted on Instagram
That black guy who got punched in the face just won the lottery. Man he did not have even resists arrest after getting cuffed in the face by that juiced cup.
I'd like to see the whole video, unedited. Not just a carefully edited one to make the cop look 100% at fault.
We don't know what made the cop act like this and we are assuming "roid rage" based on a one sided video.
Questions:
Did this individual pose a threat earlier, off camera, that forced the cop to pull his gun? Did he brandish a knife or gun off camera at the cop? Was the cop forced to come at him like that so that he didn't have a chance to pull out whatever he was holding in his hands earlier and possibly cause someone to get hurt?
Let's stop reacting to these heavily edited video's that cause marches in the streets based on half truth's and lies. Remember "hands up don't shoot?" yea it was proven MONTHS later no one ever had their hands up. But yet the lie is still perpetuated.
Yes - there are criminal cops out there that make their way through training and deserve to be in jail, but lets stop assuming ALL cops we see on video are bad. That's like assuming just because someone watches video's of black males committing crimes, that ALL blacks are guilty of crimes. Works both way folks.

If this dude brandished a gun/knife do you think the cop would run up on him like that?
Give it some thought. You think police are trained to approach a suspect who brandishes a knife/gun?
People have been shot for far less than brandishing a weapon. Reaching into your pocket at the wrong time will get you shot.

Nope. The courts wil side with the cop as they always do and the city will probably break the victim off with a measly six figure settlement which will be depleted after taxes and lawyers get their cut
I'm all for cops getting these illegal motorcyclist off the streets but when PD assaults or goes after a innocent person the officer should be penalized. If it makes national headlines and a victim is found innocent the city should pay a victim 5 mill off top.

Eric Garner's family got MILLIONS. Granted he DIED, but still.
To say that the cops always win in today's climate is wrong.
