The family is visiting NYC for a day on saturday and two people don't want to ride the NYC Tour bus. So I was wondering what other things would they be able to do while spending the day in manhattan?
Yankees are home if they like baseball, the Staten Island Ferry is free and a great view of NY Harbor, Statue of Liberty, etc. The Belmont Stakes is going to have a huge horse racing crowd. It's going to be a warm weekend in the city. I like lower Manhattan with the Freedom Tower, ride the Ferry , have lunch in Chinatown, not a bad walk and lots to see. ps Don't pay for the Staten Island Ferry, lots of vultures trying to rip off the unsuspecting.Enjoy...

The museum of natural history is nice. Museum of moving images in queens is Also kind of interesting. Also, if you're down on the lower east side you can go to veniero's bakery is good for italian pastries. You can have lunch in carmines italian restaurant if you can find a seat. You can go to the broadway discount box office and see if there are any discounted broadway shows playing. You can go to the statue of liberty or take a circle line cruise around nyc.

It turns out that they now want to go on the 4 hour tour bus But thanks for your help I appreciate it.
This comes after they been saying no to the tour bus for the last three weeks
Walking the High Line north to south! Then have lunch somewhere in Greenwich Village. Another great walk is across the Brooklyn Bridge. Have lunch in Dumbo. Weather should be nice so spend time outdoors. Even exploring Central Park is great. Depends what the family likes to do and how active they want to be!
