The Fall of the American Empire will be true cataclysm and I too hoped it would hold off for my lifetime. That hope may be misplaced.
Every politician should be forced to learn Ozymandius by heart.
Bread and circuses, indeed.
Its not only the decline and fall of the American empire. It's the end of 200 years Anglo Saxon dominated world. British dominance beginning during the defeat of napoleon, until the interwar period. Ww1,the crash of 1929 and ww2 destroyed the British Empire. And US dominance starting with the interwar period and leading up to today. My old man who is dead predicted the end of Anglo Saxon dominated world. Britain's decline was due to world war 1, 1929 stock market crash and rise of Hitler. US end of dominance started with September 11, and the invasion of Afghanistan which placed US and National forces on the border of Chinese and Russian spheres if influence. Invasion of Iraq, helped destabilized the middle east. 2008 financial collapse has not healed for many Americans and is currently creating internal strife, example Blm movement. Americas decline made it safe for China to rise, and Russia to resurgence when it kicked out and imprisned last remaining Rothschild funded Jews that controlled Russia during pre Putin years.
America will have to face China and Russia in the 21st century. Right now countries like Iran, Russia, China, groups like isis hopes blood to run amok on the streets of America.
I hope not to see the end of America during my life time either is a dominant power in all fields. However America will have to relinquish some power. Some folks actually on here think nyc will always be the globes financial capital. Lol. Giggly.

I would put it somewhat earlier, Bronxguy, with the ignominious defeat of the United States in Vietnam. (Top-dog countries can ill afford to lose a war they started.)
Oh and another thing - they have deleted the ability for others to comment - I guess other people's opinions became too much for them. Silence of the Lambs, anyone?
I suspect comment boards are being taken down because with increased spam and hacking they are becoming too difficult and expensive to manage. It was a convenience but now it's a bigger deal to run them properly.
they post an anti trump article every day, the latest saying Trump must end his campaign. it's ridiculous.
