It does seem like Asians make up a disproportionate number of victims. Besides the subway deaths, there have been a bunch of Asian bias attacks in the news in recent years.

And, as to HellUpInHarlem - "devastated"? Really? I'm not sure how you can live here if you're devastated by every horrible, irrational, tragic crime. How about headlines when a child is beaten to death?

After this last incident, I pin myself against the back wall. Nobody will stand behind me on the platform. I have also given up looking down the track to see if a train is coming. When it comes, it comes. My looking will not speed it up one iota.
