So, there is some mold in my mother's apartment. It is not too much since she's been living like that for awhile and is not complaining about it at all. The realty company would eventually fix it, but I don't really trust the Super and the painter to do a proper cleaning job (i.e. I'm 80% sure they would somehow just apply a fresh coat of paint and ignore actually getting rid of the mold. So...I may want to get this handled on my own. That being said:

Does anyone know someone or some place that will come to our apartment and do the job, or does anyone have a source so that I can potentially do it myself (like a reputable source that explains step-by-step how to do it)?

I was unaware of mold in my apartment. I got deathly ill from it. Do not try to remove yourself. If it is visible call 311 and ask for an HPD inspection. Most mold is hidden in the walls and under the floor boards.

So, thanks to you guys for the replies. In summary, the best advice is to call 311 and ask for a possible inspection. Right?
