I got my results this morning. Was kind of pleased with my score (mid 80's). But shocked that my rank in the 200's given the fact that hundreds of people took that exam that day. I remember arriving at the test site and the line went around the block one time, then again and again!
I wonder if the score factors in points for the questions that didn't have a right or wrong answer.
I took the promotional test because I already work for the courts. I am rank 165. Let's see how it goes
Awesome rank!! I still don't work for the courts.
I have taken other tests - Data Recording, Court Office Assistant and Senior Court Office Assistant -- these 3 I scored really well and in fact the Data Recording one I rank in the low 100's, the other two I rank in the mid 200's and mid 300's respectively.
Do they hire first those who work in the court already? I been to several interviews and they all say they couldn't reach my rank -- its a little disappointing, taking days off from work and not landing the job yet.
I got hired from the last court office assistant exam in 2015. I was rank 105. I'm not sure if they call off of the promotional or public list separately.
Oh I see...hey if you find out any info on the process can't you let me know? Because like I said I've been interviewing for some time now and haven't been placed yet.
ah ok I see. Were you already in the system when you got the court office assistant job?
If not, did it take lots of interviews until you finally got in?
No. I was not in the system. I took the test in May of 2014, they sent me a canvas letter in May of 2015 and I was hired that year in June. I only went for one interview and they called me a few days later letting me know I got the job. I scored really high though 98.7
