Last night an altercation turned into an orgy of violence on city Island which is known for great food and new England atmosphere. Any how these folks in the restaurants threw chairs at one another. I'm not sure if this was a flash mod or a snapshot thing. But this is real bad, and I'm sad to see this happen on city Island out of all places.
There was another incident at the same place earlier in the week. The community board is now talking about revoking their license and closing the place down. They closed at 6 tonight.
That place is weird. I was actually over there on my bike yesterday around 4 pm and the place was already swarming with people who appeared to be getting drinks from a window and drinking outside.There were a couple of hundred people there at 4 pm on a weekday. It looked like they were giving drinks away or something.The parking lot looks like it holds a few thousand cars.
Lol,it says on the website that the drinks give you a good buzz! They also say their drinks are strong and never watered down! Too funny...no wonder the place erupted. It's like they go out of their way to get people **** faced.
And don't forget...everyone drives onto City Island so they all drive off too ! Scary.

It's never the perpetrators fault (The people that keep voting them into office), no no. It must be something else... who else can we blame? Ah yes! Let's take their liquor license away and close them down! That will do it!
I'd like a politician to say "We will review the surveillance camera's. identify as many people as we can, and bring them to justice for their idiocy. Nope, not in this city. No such thing as personal responsibility here, just play the blame game.

Perhaps they should stop giving out alcohol like it was water.
Maybe I need to revisit City Island- I have been there and I wasn't too impressed with it.
