We pay federal taxes largely to wage war around the world in order to protect corporate interests and control global resources. Global domination doesn't come cheap.
It has nothing to do with your needs or my needs or even our needs.

When enough is enough??
While all true, if we didn't pay taxes we would be speaking Chinese or Russian.
All our retirees use social security and medicare, another reason we pay taxes. Many older people or sick younger people will be using medicaid.
Federal government gives out financial aid for college students, and k-12 schools do get federal money. Everyone here has benefitted from federal spending.
Where do you think the funding comes from for much of what you depend on in your daily life? Do you not realize how much Washington funds locally?
