I would be surprised if the Diaz back this idea. Aren't they concerned about gentrification and displacement? Personally, I think they should look into Westchester.

Bronx has space of course, but the space are in areas that are not near subway stations or commuterlines. How can educated liberal work force who live in the city, and educated moderate folks who live in suburbia get to work?

Díaz Jr. is a gentrification *pimp*. He was spotted at the part of the developer trying to change the name *Mott Haven* to *The Piano District* and has received campaign funds from the same developer.

Some people on this forum don't want to see any bad neighborhoods get better! Or any growth come to them!

Which means NYC is still bidding for Amazon. Like the story yesterday that Brooklyn was. Tomorrow it'll be Queens. We'd have a better chance if we sell ourselves as one city, not competing against ourselves.

I'm all for it.
On the edges of the Harlem River. Many land parcels, from 145th street bridge to the RFK bridge. Right on the edge of the river. May have to demolish the housing projects by the 3rd ave - 138 st station in the near future, but oh well. Bronx is in need of it's on downtown anyways.

One of the requirements of Amazon is low crime, they don't open at places that are high crime areas. Which is why they have 2 warehouses in NJ and both away from crime hot spots like Newark and Camden.

Last I check Bronx is still a high crime area.

Every state and city subforum on city-data has a thread about how Amazon may come to their city.

"Amazon Coming to Paducah?!?"

But it would be a real boon for the Bronx.
