poor people need not go in. probably doesn't accept EBT. And you need to own a smart phone.

it does look nice though.
The vast majority of people in the US own smartphones. Even low end phones are smartphones these days.

It will be a shoplifting paradise. Way too many people around here already shoplift using the self-checkout lines this will be even easier.

They have thought of that. You can't get in if they can't ID your phone (and by extension, you), and you have the Amazon app installed attached to a valid account. Anything you take off the shelf is immediately billed to your account. The shopping process would be no different than shoplifting, other than the fact that everything you take is billed to your account.
