Staten Island Gets Lidl (Springville: tenant, live, shop)

Lidl -- a grocery store with roots in Germany -- will be the first supermarket tenant at the more than four-decade-old New Springville Mall that is currently undergoing a major overhaul. The retailer will take up about 36,000 square feet in the Mall.

I read this the other day and could not fathom why someone would go to the mall to food shop. I won’t.
