Everything has germs. I practically work with germs for a living and none of that stuff bothers you after awhile. Washing your hands after you get off of public transit is for amateurs!

However, when an agency of any kind insists on cash only, that usually raises all kinds of red flags.
At some stores they offer to shave off the tax if you pay in cash. If it's substantial enough, I'll pay in cash but only then. I don't like to walk around with too much cash on me.
It does. So do cards. God forbid you pass your card to someone for them to swipe a purchase. Instant cooties
