It just seems like it could get tedious VERY quick.
Look at the 50K Bracket! it went from 118 in 2013 proposal, to ZERO in the new one. W. T. F?
they had a nice spread in 2013 with all those homes for people in the 50K income bracket, but then look at the new one. ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERO. the only income band left out. F THIS CITY! sick of paying so much in taxes only to get the shaft, and THIS one lottery is officially the nail on the had for me.
It's AMAZING how they completely eradicated the 100%ami to give more to people in lower than 60 and now giving affordable apartments to people in 130 and above. WTF i need a pay decrease
Please, anyone involved in the housing lottery, PLEASE look at this. They turned every single apartment that was meant for 80-100%AMI to 130 percent AMI and doubled the 60% AMI and took away EVERY SINGLE one available for 80-100AMI! How is this fair or just? WHY are they doing this? I am so confused. I am all for more inclusionary housing, but this is blatant example of exactly how certain middle income people are being discriminated against. look at the numbers!
Chill out, man. Aren’t you paying to live in Park Slope right now? You can definitely find cheaper neighborhoods than that.
If you work downtown, rent near the ferry in Staten Island. If you work midtown, try parts of the Bronx near parks for your doggy or further out in Queens.
You’re going to give yourself an aneurysm. Hell, you’re going to give us all aneurysms.
I RENT A ROOM WITH A DOG! I cannot find a cheaper apartment of someone who will let me move in with a dog and I sure as hell don't want to pay premium prices in a ****ty neighborhood where me and my dog are called "****" like I was when I lived in crappy neighborhoods. I'd rather rent a room in a decent neighborhood than have my own apartment in a crap area where people are literal trash, ignorant, homophobic, and racist.

Okay, but there are a lot of neighborhoods in this city. Maybe you should pull a transplant by figuring out your price range (the price range that will put you in less duress) and listing out what your commute and other needs are and then ask for suggestions from the peanut gallery. You can keep on applying for applicable lotteries in the meantime.
