Is it any wonder why retail and other businesses are emptying out of NYC?

There is nothing wrong with providing reasonable accommodations to keep your staff happy and motivated. I have a few coworkers who had to take extended leave without pay or change their shifts to care for ill family members. It made them less stressed and the job was still done. I am more likely to donate leave and money to people who I see making the effort to work through their situation.

If these politicians really cared, they'd stop pushing these low paying service jobs as jobs to support your family. That's the real problem.
