I have to agree. I need to look at it again. Out of morbid fascination. It is unique in it's vulgar and ostentatious décor.

I haven't been by that way in years but I believe that house is famous for the Christmas light displays that they put up.

That one is over the top, too. I clicked on the timeline on Google Street view, where you can see photos from previous years, and it seems they never take those reindeer down. There are photos from April and September, and they are always there.

Yes, it does look like a school from outside. Maybe it was at one time. New Yorkers repurpose buildings all the time. Some of it was actually beautiful albeit a bit overdone. The one bedroom was also beautiful in a way except for the hamper at the end of the bed. I'm going to take a guess that the owners are Italian or Greek. I'm Italian and I could see members of my family decorating like that if they had the money.

I hate to say this but this is exactly my dads interior style of design. If you guys went over to his place, you'd be on gold trim and traditional (OLD!!) style overload! Must be what old people used to think was RICH back in the day.
