BdeB was out on a whirlwind tour of SI last week. Opening a new city health clinic on Vanderbilt, funding for 911 memorial and so forth.

One bit of news is that the city will purchase the closed St. John's Villa site and turn the campus into a public school.

Suppose it is something that likes of Savo Brothers or other real estate interests didn't get their mitts on that land, but am not entirely thrilled with BdeB spending yet more tax money/expanding city government.

This is rare in an era where public schools are being closed.
