Ok so if ghettos move because yuppies move in then its mission accomplished as that neighborhood is no longer ghetto. What's so bad about converting a ghetto neighborhood into a clean, safe and desirable one? If those very same displaced ghetto people move elsewhere that eventually turns into a ghetto, you have no one else to blame but the landlords and residents of that neighborhood for allowing that type of trash to move in.

I really think you are missing the point on what yuppies represent for a neighborhood. Hipsters and yuppies are the pioneers and the ones who have the guts to move in to a ghetto neighborhood and eventually cleanse the "ills" ghetto culture inflicted on the neighborhood for decades. Why is that bad? They are actually cleaning up former ghettos and making it livable. Remind me again why that is bad?

Once upon a time, they were yuppies. Now their children are hipsters. Wait another 15 or 20 years; people will be using a completely new name for them. But the type never changes. They prance around feeling entitled--no matter what the current label is.

Listen, if you had to pick 1 of the lesser evils between ghetto welfare trash and "entitled" yuppies, who would you honestly pick?

i don't understand how someone's entitled attitude negatively affects your life.. Someone selling drugs, thugging, murdering, stealing etc does affect your life but i bet you would NEVER set those people straight. Except maybe behind your pc

Good point. Yuppies don't hurt anyone. Ghetto people such as thugs and drug dealers do. By not supporting yuppies, you are indirectly supporting thugs and drug dealers since its the yuppies that push out and clean up ghetto neighborhoods.

a ghetto was a ghetto way before the
ghetto people moved in, because it
was all they could afford. now the
ghetto is for hipsters and yuppies,
which makes no sense. good luck
making them happy, slumlords.
