And what about that Stop and Frisk thing does New York still do that? I know many in Chicago wished they did that. Maybe that is yet another difference between the two places.
Ironically it seems like many people are leaving Illinois and going too Indiana more and more. Not just because of crime but also due to taxes and cost of living and everything else going on in Illinois

Does not help that cops in Chicago are afraid to do anything to criminals because as they have said they do not want to go too prison like Jason Van Dyke! Hell a couple of officers have let thugs beat the hell out of them because they were afraid too fight back as they did not want to be next to be crucified in the media and be put on trial so this gives thugs in Chicago free reign to do anything they want now!
I know a lot of NYPD that do the same these days. I don't blame them. Why risk 20 years of hard work and a pension over some black thug (no offense to black folks). I would be like "yes sir, may I have another." Lol.

I feel bad for cops these days especially in Chicago I really do!
