Comparing to other cities, I mean, not to be compared with some general/controversial sub forums.

Anybody has any statics/ranking info on this? Mods?

Possibly, but not per cap.

No way.

Cities with one tenth the population get half the posts.
Even neighboring LI forum is just about as busy, with less than half the population of NYC.

If you click on a state, it will show you the amount of threads and posts for a particular subforum within that state.

So, as of right now, the NYC subforum has 40,090 threads consisting of 911,644 posts. The Long Island subforum has 21,192 threads and 432,986 posts.

The only metro/city subforum I can think that comes close to NYC is the Triangle in NC with 53,711 threads started and 752,770 posts, which is not too bad for a metroplex of 2.2 million!

Atlanta has 34,356 threads and 643,644 total posts.

Yeah pretty much. It's one of the reasons I still lurk in the bushes around these parts. The PA forums are dead.

If you read the OP, you can see they clearly asked about city subforums NOT states!

Yes, the Texas forum and all of its subforums as a whole have the most posts with 2,073,931, but that wasn't the question.

The largest Taxes subforum is Houston with 33,296 different threads and 508,725 total posts.

All kidding aside, if you took away the multitude of housing lottery threads, we wouldn't even be close to some of the bigger ones.

Few if any sub-forums on CD have anywhere near the activity of NYC. It is the reason why so many troll this place from around the country and or world.

People who moved away and or whatever still cannot help themselves from posting here, this even whey they now live halfway across the world.
