Car owners/drivers, would you join a political organization to stop the city/state assault on drivers? (Fine: home, buy)

Start a thread then. This isn’t a government agency. The OP starts a thread and sets the terms and we ensure the thread stays on topic.

They’re asking about a possible organization to support driver’s “rights”. Why would a non-driving car hater’s opinion matter in that sense? That would be like me expecting a vote at an anti-cop organization.
