Opinion: Yup....where are all the " it's the best the city has ever been " and
" it's only a drop in the bucket single murder analogy when compared to the 8 million population whole."

Do you know what the difference between analogy and actual statistics are?

First of all, there's a difference between riding the train at 8:30pm and midnight. Second, we can all point to individual incidents throughout the city (similar incident in Jay St. Brooklyn recently) because like I said in the thread that you're referring to, no one is without risk anywhere, including in your own apartment, in a car on the highway or in your express bus commuting to Manhattan. We all need to decide what is an acceptable level of risk for ourselves and the way to do that is to look at the statistics. You may decide that living in this city full of people is too dangerous and move to a cabin in the middle of the woods, but I doubt that's statistically safer either because of lack of medical care and other dangers to your life and health (like bears lol).

Your volume was turned down, and Pierre doesn’t trust the opinions of parents who enables their children to live at home. Enablers are the worst!

Are you kidding me? you reaching really far and hard for this one. How you gonna try make a point with an incident that happened after midnight to a question that was asked based on hours no where near that time frame.

Its NYC, anything after 10pm is basically go at your own risk. Even midtown 42nd street is safe in daylight but after 10pm it go at your own risk. Same for upper east side or upper west side.

Damn the fear mongering is real with this one like your own shadow will make your heart jump out your throat as soon as you see your shadow lol.

Funny. I walk around my neighborhood at all hours and never feel unsafe, so I don't agree with this notion at all. If they didn't have cops around there on White Plains Road, it would be even worse. Hot spot for drugs...
