The entire place is called wakefield plantation, which comprises many different "neighborhoods" based on price point. They start in the 200's and go to the million plus range. Each different "section" may have a different builder, to the estate side that are custom builders on large lots.
so, most people just say wakefield when referring to the entire area............
Is it a nice area? Or is it an area that you may not want to live in if you can only afford the lower priced homes? DO the lower priced homes offer subdivisions with ammenities?
Wakefield is nice, it is huge. I have friends who lived in the smaller homes when they were first built and they are nice, standard homes. There is not a pool for the neighborhood, unless you join the tournament players club, which is expensive. Most of the people who don't join the TPC will join the YMCA which is in wakefield (along with three schools, elementary, middle and high, dentists, grocery stores, fast food, drug store, etc). The Y is quite nice, and can get very crowded.
I believe Wakefield Estates has a Wake Forest address, but the rest of Wakefield is Raleigh??
I *heard* Clay Aiken lives on the estate section of Wakefield... so I told dd if she thinks she sees him @ Kroger... well it very well may be him. .... I've tried to search under wake county records with no avail. It's probably titled under another name.
How much is club membership for residents, and is it the same price for residents as non-residents?
