Good. They are already getting free parking while taking up a lot of street space. The least they can do is move their cars, so the street can be cleaned.
The thieves in charge are perfectly comfortable with 45% dollar increase. As if this weren’t outrageous ( in a normal city it would be ), there’s 0% give and 100% take. It’s not like people are going to find parking spots in overcrowded neighborhoods in brooklyn late at night all of the sudden.
The reasons DSNY gave for implementing the change - to keep city clean and safe won’t measure up when the said drivers start circling around their hoods even more in order to find a spot.

Opinion: The city is not living up to its' end of the bargain. The homeless and criminals are still there.
Yet speeding & red light violations are less. How backwards is that?
Opinion:
The Mayor DeBlasio's response to increasing much needed revenue. This is the same guy that is backing Bloomberg for president. Birds of a feather flock together. Yes former Mayor Bloomberg who orchestrated the developments that led to gentrification and displacement of our once solid neighborhoods that is taking place right under your nose. Has your rent skyrocketed? Were you forced to move?. You get what you vote for.
no matter how many increases the city gets for whatever it is cryoing for, it will never be enough.
The MTA has been crying for decades, still not enough.
the bridge tolls have been crying for decades and its still not enough.
all this city does is cry poverty and it is still nver enough.
imagine in a perfect world, everyone moved thier cars and everyone parked correctly and then no tickets were issued, wonder what the city would do in a case like that?
This needs to be done across the board. The major offenders are government workers using the personal cars with placards. Walk a 5 block radius around any court house during ASP and count the personal cars with placards not being moved.
