So the challenge to NYC's anti-2A gun laws/restrictions has been dropped by the Supreme Court

So apparently because NYPD/NYC is now allowing people to bring their guns to range, we are all now satisfied, and Supreme Court will drop the case?

I thought the whole point of the challenge was to allow NYC denizens to be able to own/purchase. Is this just a ploy by NYPD/NYC to screw us pro-2A community over?

Or does each restriction have to be challenged separately in Supreme Court, and this is just one motion that has been dismissed? I sure hope so. There rest of NYC gun laws are BS. I hope the suits continue.

I was under the impression the lawsuit/motion is an overarching attempt to force NYPD to change out all the regs, and NYC more gun friendly. Oh well, there go my hopes.

Roberts is a weasel. Alito’s rebuttal was perfect: Roberts and the leftist judges allowed NYC to manipulate the court docket. Read the rebuttals.

There’s a bunch of cases pending fyi. Better cases. The libs know this wasn’t really a success for them.

This gun law bs is really an over reach of rights.

I can go to many states, and get some gun range fun. No wait or tedious paperwork, and very safe.
getting a rifle or shotgun is enough of a pain, and forget about a civilian have the right to own one.

The fire arms permits and laws should be what the people want, not police. So when it hits the fan. And anarchy is trending, all we have are baseball bats and kitchen knives....

What the law doesn't realize is that if you really want to get a gun, you're getting a gun. Reminds me of our really successful war on drugs. The grey and black markets are thriving on a regular basis and now this whole corona thing has just amplified business.

If one really wanted a gun, but not allowed by law, how will one go about satisfying his urge like with drugs?

the meat of the case was the restrictions put on premise permits ... the fact we couldnt go outside the 7 ranges in the city was nuts . plus you could not keep it at a 2nd home in the state .

so no permit holder really expected anymore to be done on ccw in ny ...

anyone with a clean record and the fees can get a premise permit in nyc ...
