The lesson here is that retired or active LE can defend themselves but the average resident can't.
Crowded subway platform. One trained LE, one alleged lunatic, and (going forward with recent carry ruling) surrounded by an unknown number carrying lethal weapons with varying degrees of training and sanity. Has anyone thought about the innocent bystanders that could get caught in the crossfire? This incident could have had a much, much worse outcome.
So according to Hochuls latest edict, this former LEO should have been arrested right? No guns allowed down there?
