Actually 52-48. NC conceded, AK isn’t called yet plus 2 GA.

McConnell needs to treat a president biden the same way that Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats treated President Trump. Now, I don't advocate this lightly and for the sake of obstruction, but rather as a sign of people sticking up for their beliefs. At the end of the day, the people voted for divided government, both in 2018 and in 2020. One side doesn't have to bend to the will of the other side. If you want smooth operation of government, you need to actually win all of government.

Mitch McConnell said he wants to focus on stimulus in December. Have you been paying any attention?

Also it will be easier to lobby senators now, when a president is a Democrat. Trump did have a stranglehold with his populist messaging. Biden will try to work across the aisle. I believe we will have a great 2021.
Response: Opinion

If the President is a Democrat...................

Have you been paying attention?

The show ain't over till the fat lady sings......

Better, but not a large majority still.

Good enough if it happens. It will if anything encourage greater gridlock for the next 2 years as any vulnerable Democrats can't stick their necks out either.

That's all I really want to see - little fundamental change through 2022.

And with the majority, McConnell can schedule politically hot votes that harm already endangered Democrats.

Like I told my uncle, I will leave the Republican party for good if they work with Biden. They better return every favor Trump received. There better not be any "healing" all of the sudden.

I've heard Trump wants to run again *headdesk* I hope he doesn't. That's just as dumb as Hillary Clinton running in 2016, after she couldn't even score the nomination in 2008. Once you've lost, you've lost, and there was a reason for it. Clearly not enough public support to be sure of victory. If Trump runs again, I am pretty sure that will mean a loss for the Republicans and Biden 2.0. And I really don't want to see Biden in office, not now (oh well) and definitely not later.
