This is absolutely ridiculous! When coming from Boston, I usually park at my parents house in Queens and take an Uber into the office in Manhattan. Either I'll stop the in-office meetings or my clients will have to pay additional to cover this fee.
I really hope that they don't implement this plan. It'll further erode Manhattan's economy/business vitality.
Drove in today, parked by 48 and 8th for $35.
Took wife and kids on a bus tour around the city.
Was great.
Lots of garbage though on the streets. Nothing but tourists around. The suits are gone. Maybe because it’s end of August, but to me the city felt a bit weird, tired.
Still the architecture was awesome as always.

You park in Queens and then take an Uber into Manhattan? Why not just drive in? Uber can't be much cheaper.
Where was everyone who's fighting this now when they passed the legislation? That would have been the time to get up in the face of the legiscritters and let them know that the voters don't want this garbage. Now it's late. It'll be hard to get them to overturn it.

All of this protesting is lol. This is q huge source of new tax revenue for the city and they'll never let it go. The fees will only increase every few years.
Taxing and buying votes of the "poor" is the only thing that present day NYC politicians know how to do well.
