middle class in Manhattan will join the lower rungs in stealing from supermarkets and drugstores in the neighborhood. All delivery trucks that pay the surcharge will spike cost even further.
Mayor Adams will cry why people don’t want to come out Manhattan anymore.
If it was truly about congestion, they should build a tunnel under Manhattan connecting LI to NJ, build the TriboroX, and a bridge connecting LI to CT to bypass NYC. But we all know it is not about congestion, but about raising more revenue, as they continue to build infrastructure that funnels more people into Manhattan, even those who do not want to go there and are traveling to other destinations.
Funny how no cries of racist infrastructure from the Democrats when they do it.
