Homeless Outreach Workers earning 6 figure salaries? Those workers typically don't earn a lot of money. About $18-$20 an hour/full time.

The program managers. Not the workers. If indeed there were any at all to begin with. There was an audit conducted.

How is the FDNY EMS union allowing this? My prediction is every EMS unit stages around the corner as usual and waits for PD to secure the scene anyway.

Utter dangerous woke nonsense. The police will still have to respond to cases where the EDP is violent or disruptive.

If there are 5 cops and one crazy 120lb guy they shouldn't have to break his shins and pepper spray him to subdue.

I will say this until it sinks in. Don't become a cop if you care more about yourself than others, and don't understand basic self defense and non lethal techniques to subdue a person.

Increase the pay and IQ/EQ as well as physical fitness requirements.

A fat man eating 7-11 hit dogs with a clogged artery is not fit for street duty.

If I was an EMT I'd carry a piece just in case one of these psychos flipped out and tried to attack me. Not worth losing your life just for doing your job.

Awesome! Glad the places were chosen based on need. Also glad resources will be better used. Look forward to seeing the data that comes out of this but yeah, mental health professionals should be the ones to first address this assuming a person does not pose a threat.
