Mandate is a 'kinder' word for dictate.
Call it what you will, a mandator is nothing less than a dictator.
I thought we lived in a representative democracy, not a society littered with petty (and not so petty) tyrants.
How is this even suggested without near-universal pushback and moral disgust at the arrogance of such an act?

The lawsuits are being planned already im sure. The new mayor may not uphold it either. What about the companys who have labor shortages already? In an employee market most states they will be even more short staffed. That costs money. Im sure they dont want to lose more money then they already have.
Btw this is more awesome news for NJ restaurants. From Thursday through the weekend, every week, it's really tough to get a table at any of the restaurants by me. Meanwhile the Staten Island restaurant owners I know from my cheeseburger group days are either closing or barely hanging on. Our favorite place, Cornerhouse BBQ, just announced they are closing before Christmas.
It's criminal what your dictators have to done to your state.
They aren't conformists. They are tyrants. And their little brownshirt followers are worse because they are why we have these dictators in the first place.
