Crime has always occurred regardless of the legislature in place.
Oh, Seventh
Crime has always occurred, yes, but it's all about NUMBERS. The numbers don't lie, when a soft on crime DA is in place, crime tends to rise. See San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia as recent examples.
Now, I know you would love to see NYC turn into Chicago and claim it's "normal and crime happens", but most of us don't want that
lol I like how you leave out that minor detail about how almost every crime increased from 2020 to 2021, in part because of the soft DAs and bail reform laws.
You're acting like these areas of Queens that you mentioned were all devoid of crime.
Especially Rockaway Blvd. Rockaway Blvd is not exactly a hotbed of crime, but it's a major transfer point in the borough and increased volume of traffic automatically means more crime just based on number of people passing through. I find my travels through the train station and surrounding neighborhood pretty calm, but I have seen a thing or two happen over the decades.

So how much do these "numbers" affect your point of view? Prove an example of the "numbers" that cause you to say personally "Houston, we have a problem." What are examples of "good numbers" to you?

Why are you always posing the questions? How about we turn around and pose it to you?
How much do those numbers have to be before you think it’s unacceptable? What are examples of “bad numbers” to you?

Here, have a look at the murder rate chart. Even CNN sometimes puts out the truth.
That huge spike we saw in 2020 going into 2021, tells me, "Houston, we have a [huge] problem"
It happens to coincide with the Floyd riots and the great awokening of 2020.
Why would there be a lot of unemployed people with no crime? Explain this for the audience.
You just said a few posts ago that without crime a lot of criminals would be 'unemployed.' LOL. Care to explain for the audience?
