Adams claims to want to help small businesses. He need to eliminate deBlasio's destructive restaurant vaxx check policy before even more restaurants shut down for good. Finishing off the restaurant business in NYC was always a goal of deBlasio's.
In NYC, it’s basically going back to where things were pre-Omicron. No city wide mask mandate (although masks are “advised”), but the vaccine mandate for restaurants and bars is still in place. Individual businesses can still mandate masks though. So really little change here in the city, other than maybe being able to grocery shop maskless again. I expect the masses of city residents though to keep clutching onto their triple KN95’s with extra tight straps around the head well into 2025.
It’s fairly likely the vaccination requirement will be removed sometime in April or May if I have had to guess. They have no real pressure to do it til summer

Will there be pressure to lift the vaccination mandate before the summer influx of tourists?
