Maybe you don’t need new crap every two weeks, you shop less. You adjust and actually enjoy life more. Discover things. Life is too short to be working all the time.
I have no idea why you are saying that to me. You make no sense

Go screw Mr. Mayor.

Who out there is willing to voluntarily give up the increased quality of life that WFH has provided, believing that they are white knighting some waitress' job? lol
funny.

next step is to beg more money to the federal government again

Mayor wants the gazelles to return to work, don’t worry only a few will be picked off by the lions.
Oh wait, what was I saying again?

And the owners of the office buildings don't?

I LOVE working from home. I dread having to return to the office.

Plus it’s saving me $800 in child care fees a week. You can’t beat that, lol.

It seems absurd, but I'm sure you've seen and heard many of the absurd things that a majority of voters in NYC believe. That would not even be high on the scale of ridiculous things they believe.

Here's a great video by Louis Rossman. He asks a simple logical question - What's in it for workers returning to their NYC offices?

The classical "NYC model" of city life was perfect for the 19th and 20th century.

It is irrelevant and quickly becoming obsolete in the 21st century.

...or you can work multiple jobs from home and (at least) double your income.

My boss wants us back in the office in March, but only a few days a week. We've been WFH now for almost two years. A few days a week is fine, since I was going in unofficially before, but I'm NOT interested in going in every day. Absolutely not, and I would definitely make a stink about it. Most of my work can be done anywhere, so why do I need to schlepp to the office every day. Nope!
