I don't know why the banks just not have the tellers handle cash. Have all the cash in ATMs or similar. Have nothing of theft value available to the tellers.

People still withdraw and deposit large amounts of cash for whatever reason and ATMs usually limit withdrawals to as little as $500 a day.
Bank robberies or attempted robberies probably aren’t uncommon and I wouldn’t be surprised if most don’t make the news. Cameras are everywhere and most robbers would be caught. I’ve noticed my local bank branch even has a height chart on the inside of the door presumably so they can get the height of a robber from a picture of the person leaving.
one can also rob a supermarket by loading the cart with goodies and push it out the door real fast, thats why the supermarket disable the wheels, rendering them immobile.
Depends on the bank and the customer. While I’ve waited on a line for a teller I’ve seen people take out or deposit thousands in cash. Even with higher limits some people would rather deal with a teller. ATMs do make mistakes, however rare.

I deposited a few hundred bucks into my TB the other day, no envelope, no slip nothing, just into the ATM it goes, it even counts it for you so you dont have to write in the amount. It was awesome.
