Or Cauliflower Alley?

It was the term for an area near Madison Square Garden, taken from the term "cauliflower ear," a reference to the boxers in the neighborhood.

Another one of those colorful early 20th century terms.

I used to visit an old bar near the garden years ago. Don't know if it's still there.
Plenty of great stories about former champs. In addition
Ran into a few fighters in the nearby. Last champ I remember was Costello.
back in the 80's. Good fighter. Great Heart.

No I haven’t but… Fun fact: if you make pizza with a cauliflower base instead of flour, you insulin will not spike provided you don’t add any sugar-based tomato sauce (use natural tomato sauce) and you won’t gain weight or get the triglyceride/high blood sugar problem.

No. It's one of the curious tidbits from the book I mentioned, Madam, by Debby Applegate.

https://www.city-data.com/forum/new-...nyc-crime.html

It surprised me that no one much seemed interested, because it's a lot of fun.

About the Cauliflower part, I was curious, too, wondering about the exact location, so I went online and found ... nothing. It's a good reminder that not everything is online, even though people like to think so.

Those cauliflower crusts have become popular over the past few years. I tried a couple, one with the pizza already on it, one on which you add your own sauce and toppings. Was not impressed. The crust doesn't hold together. If you really have to watch your blood sugar, I guess it's a good choice.

I always thought cauliflower ear was what you got from holding a phone to your ear () when you had talked for a long time....
