The woman whose body was discovered stuffed in a blood-filled duffel bag in Queens early Saturday morning has been identified as married mother-of-two Orsolya Gaal, 51, police said.

Detectives are now investigating the gruesome find, which was made by two different local residents near a popular walking path on Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills, on a section of street that cuts through a local park.

Cops said a blood trail from the blood-soaked bag led them to Gaal's house, located in a gated community on Juno Street a half mile from where her body was found.

Police sources told the New York Post that her husband and one of her sons are considered 'persons of interest' in her death.

Gaal had no ID on her when she was found, police told the New York Daily News evening, adding that officers who followed the trail made an 'emergency entry' into the woman's home in an attempt to get to the bottom of the grisly discovery.

Once inside the residence, cops said, officers came across Gaal's 13-year-old son, alone in the house's top floor.

When questioned by officers, the child said that he lived in the house with his mother, and that his father and older brother were away traveling, the Daily News reported. The teen added that he did not know where his mom was.

A neighbor told the Post that the younger son was seen being taken away in handcuffs...
The daily news reported she was on a date and possibly murdered and stuffed in a duffle bag by the man she was secretly seeing, while her husband and oldest son were out of town.

For some reason, this particular story is not garnering a lot of media attention.

Isn't Forrest Hills near Kew Gardens? For some reason this made me think of the Kitty Genovese case.

The probability of this being "random" is very low.

Forest hills gardens is about the best area in queens. It’s a toss up between it and Douglaston.
Horrific story. Hope they catch the killer soon. Doesn’t sound random and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the kid who did it. I lived in Kew gardens a few years and it’s a wonderful area with lots of parks. Biking in the park during the day would be ok, but by night time you would have to be a lunatic to go in there. Plus a random suicide in the park gave you a creepy feel.
A
Bit weird that the family was not together for Passover / Easter.

This is really creepy.

The shadowy figure appears non human.

Her name is Hungarian. Orsolya in English means little bear.............

I could only think.............dang....." Sometimes you eat the bear . Sometimes the bear eats you. "

R.I.P. poor thing..............I hope they set traps and snag this monster.

Easter/Passover in Heaven.

For some reason, this particular story is not garnering a lot of media attention.

There is rising violence spreading in New York City not seen in over 30 years.
A gruesome murder in the most diverse and affluent neighborhood across the five boroughs.
A murder during the most holiest of holidays celebrated ; Easter and Passover.
A shadowy and creepy recording of the dead body can only bring hell or high water
to our floundering slow to respond mayor.

Of course the media is directed to keep this story low key................

Catching a maniac shooting up 10 people on the train days earlier is not key to celebration.
It is best to set traps to catch criminals before and not after crimes are committed.
Not letting a crime happen in the first place is key .......................just ask Rudy.
Act Fast and Act swiftly Eric...........the voters are taking notes.
