They are gonna rock the corner of Post and Port Richmond ave like a boss. Getting the Gov freebies and working off the books. A time honored tradition of that area.

Staten island is hypocritical. They say they're against illegal immigrantion but almost every Italian pizza restaurant and construction company is using workers of questionable legal residency.

At least you know where Staten Island Stands. Lefty enclaves like Williamsburg say they welcome them with open arms but would kick them out after 24 hours just like Marthas Vineyard.

Meh. Nearly 700 people move to the NYC area every day.
Are we really pretending that migrants moving to the area is a new thing? You guys ever heard of the Statue of Liberty?

New York (and Massachusetts) are, and have been for 400 years, two of the top destinations for migrants in the USA. They are also two of the most productive, most educated, most healthy and wealthiest states and they contribute more to the national GDP than the weird Bible Belt states. All of these crisis actors pretending that something new is happening are an embarrassment to these United States. If you don’t like it here, leave. We are a nation of immigrants. Get over it already.

I don’t think anyone is complaining about immigrants. They’re complaining about people coming to this country illegally, which when people do, they do not take into account the infrastructure - whether that be financial or physical of the country that will host them. Point in case, we clearly cannot afford to have the entire globe empty out into NYC and expect for our welfare systems, fire and police departments, schools, housing, hospitals and emergency shelters to accommodate them all. That is why we have immigration and border patrol departments and zoning laws. Those departments are responsible in allowing a few in at a time (considering they meet the necessary background checks and self sustaining abilities, etc).

Now permit me to ask you a question. Are you personally willing to allow your paycheck to be taxed higher (at the FICA, NYS, NYC and the OASDI levels) so as to accommodate an undocumented migrant? Cause you know, back in the Ellis Island days, everyone pretty much pulled their own weight and did not depend on other people unless by community or family. Or are you one of the privileged gated community folks who do not file W2s and live in a Martha’s Vineyard gated community with the National Guard at your command?

We are a nation of LEGAL immigrants...sponsored and vetted...unlike the undocumented. Federal law is the law...follow it or leave.

Illegal is the key word here. Not the same at all as controlled legal immigration.

I know lefties try to conflate the two. But you cant. So stop

Mayor Adams: Migrants coming to your neighborhood

"Oh no they isn't . "
How many times have I heard the complaints of the poor while construction
plowed on thru their neighborhood to make room for the money maker hi risers..............

It's more like
" They is. "
Better get used to it.
Suggestions ?
Add more locks on your doors.
If these folks are not being fed and clothed
you can be rest assured they are coming for yours.
Desperate time will call for desperate measures.

To all of you….legal really is the operative word. These people ARE here legally. They have been processed and are awaiting hearings. They legally have the right to be anywhere they want to be in the country while awaiting their hearings. Suck it up. This is America and this is how we roll.

BTW the concept of “legal” immigration only started in 1924. There were 300 years of open borders prior to that (you know, the time to which y’all love to harken back).
