Iceberg is mostly water. People really like the crunch. But I use spinach on burgers or sandwiches bc crunch is meaningless to me.

I switched to red leaf and green leaf lettuce. Better taste, far lower price.

What is really frosting my cake is the price increase of EGGS...pushing $7 a dozen.

What leafy veg is not mostly water? Heck, humans are 80% water.

Anyone, iceberg does have a unique “flavor” that the other lettuces don’t seem to have.

Only if you're buying organic free-range stuff at a bodega or specialty grocery store or something.

Don't shop at the bigger markets they price gouge.

Valentino's in Ridgewood has excellent produce. Iceberg Lettuce is $2.19.
