Like most good robbers, she did her homework by casing the place. Probably by pretending to be a delivery or utility worker. The intent was to find out times of activity. People are predictable by nature.

“Like most Good robbers” ?!?!
Good robbers who are caught red handed in the home while the owner was home while the cops are watching her in the act. I don’t think she cased anything lol. The only thing predictable was her doing it again in front of the cops watching her after 6 other times.

Mistakes happen. Criminals play the law of averages in NYC because they know judges will release them and homeowners are bound by liberal gun laws.
Too bad she didn’t take more than Christmas presents and too bad the police were too dumb to go after her. Surely they should have known that Deniro, a wealthy woke ultra-liberal, who believes in wealth redistribution, decriminalization, bail reform and defund the police, deserves this.
"It was unclear whether Ms. Aviles, who police officials said had been arrested on burglary charges many times, had targeted one of the planet’s best-known actors on purpose. Court records indicate that Ms. Aviles, who lives near Union Square in Manhattan, has been charged in at least six incidents this year alone.
In Rudy G's day or even Bloomberg this piece of work would have been kept locked up where she belongs. But noooo, she's let out again and again to keep on doing what she has been doing.

The Democratic run City is the gift that keeps on giving! Free Get out of Jail Cards............hahahahahaha!

HMMM????
I'm sure if there was a cash bail system in place Bobby would bail her out.
Lol. Who wants to get on the bad side of a Don Corleone, Travis Bickle, Frank Sheeran and Jake Lamotta all wrapped into one.
Those are characters. The actual Robert De Niro is a life-long thespian, twice divorced (once after his wife spent all his money, forcing him to take a bunch of crummy acting roles to pay off the bills), who sued the government to avoid paying property taxes on his estate. He's also, like many other trainwrecks, a big Democratic party supporter, and as such deserves to be victimized by the criminals and thugs he champions.

Yes, unfortunately, DeNiro has been playing a caricature of his earlier characters for like, ever. I feel the same about Al Pacino.
OTOH, no one can blame him for his anti-racist stance, since he has had a long love life shared with black women for a long time…
