The pandemic proved that the “tough New Yorker” trope is now just a myth. Most people rolled over like sheep immediately, AND demanded that those who refused to do so be crushed.

How the 30s age group become boring ? I see that there been trend that Gen Z influencers asking New Yorkers how much they pay for rent they get tour of apartment, they show things to do in the city and events in short clips

Well I recently caught Covid a few weeks ago, which I assume was the BA5 variant. If this new XBB variant is even more super duper contagious and evades immunity, then I'm screwed....

At least in my circle, all of the people who still insist on not going out and masking everywhere “due to COVID” are all mid/late 30’s white collar professional types. And on the subway, the ones who are still masking and glaring at the unmasked masses usually appear to be in their mid/late 30’s, with the creeping male pattern baldness and all!

Yes, I plan to mask up until the WHO officially declares an end to the pandemic. My new motto will be, "It isn't over until the WHO says it's over!"

Mask up in public places to avoid Influenza. I had it and it was a pretty horrible 2 weeks. Not as bad as 1968 "Hong Kong Pandemic" but horrible nonetheless.

At least in my experience, the flu feels a lot worse. When I got Covid last month, I mainly had a minor headache and was fatigued for a few days. No fever tho. But the flu, I get a pounding headache for days, have body aches and chills, and have a 100 degree fever for a whole week. Feels like death.

Covid does linger on longer tho. I still have a few lingering effects from it even tho I recovered over a week ago.
