Good because I think it would bring increased crime to Bay Ridge.

There are condos in that area going for nearly 1,000sq/ft.

The ferry has been there for quite a while. This service improvement won't increase property values.

That stinks, maybe that's why the express bus is more popular but also more expensive at a $6.75 fare. What's the point of dodging alternate side parking rules just to ride the ferry?

The ferry was there but the route wasn’t. The ferry already brought increases values since its inception. A 20 minute ride now means values can start to approach those (on a per square fat basis) of downtown BK and surrounding neighborhoods.

The ferry isn’t there for long distance commuters.

On the Bay Ridge Talk Facebook page people were complaining that the MTA should run a shuttle bus along Shore Road to get people to the ferry.

But the problem remains: How does one get from his front door to the bus stop? Peraps a Jitney service?

Apparently kids learn to walk at 1 year and then forget how to walk somewhere in their teens, never to walk again.

I used to live on 74th and Shore Road and I always wished the ferry would run from there. I couldn't believe when they redid that pier and didn't give access. It would have been an amazing commute. And if I lived in the 90s on Shore I would wish they ran a shuttle too!
