Employers should be free to discriminate against the fat, smokers, drug users, and other habits and/or conditions that threaten to cost them more money in the long run.

Getting a job is one thing , keeping it is another.

I know a young man over 400 pounds
and needs a walker that's the size of a small car.
He's sadly...... a walking heart attack.

What accommodations are expected of business owners
for their gainful employment ?

Where is their compassion?

An overweight DIETICIAN is the one complaining. Who wants to hire an overweight dietician? Who in their right mind would take advice about nutrian and eating from a very overweight person?

How does a "fat" person cost a company more money as an employee? Unless the company provides free food and he/she eats it all each day. Lol

The only questions should be "Can you do the job if you're fat? " If you can, then the employer shouldn't be able to discriminate against you because of weight. A fat dietician can still plan meals, give nutritional advice, research what foods are good to eat and the like. A fat trapeze artist? I think not.

And let's not forget the obvious: This is far more a problem for women, than guys. Women are constantly judged on looks. Men, not nearly as much.

A fat dietician could give nutritional advice but why should anyone be expected to take that advice? Even if the fat dietician does in fact eat "healthy" etc -- if the outward results are to be fat, then if I were in a hiring position I would not hire that person and then expect my clients or customers to trust the fat dietician's advice.

Would you take fashion advice from someone who dresses like a slug, or skincare advice from someone who is wrinkled and haggard? etc
