Yes, some have to fail. That's life and there's nothing wrong with it. I've failed in various endeavors. There's no getting around it.

You know what "failing" would mean in this case? Moving out of NYC. NYC is the highest COL area in the US and no one has a god given right to live here. The fact that you and many others act as if there is some god given right to live in NYC is an absurd notion that is rooted in dishonesty. If I can't afford a Ferrari, that doesn't mean the government should subsidize one for me.

I didnt make the rules

We're all spending the same money

Like wake up already

You want something that you're not gonna get, and you dont even understand why

Maybe you are on that "Marxism Socialism" jazz because it sounds to me like you want everybody to do well.

What's your God given right to live here? Money? So Money comes from God then?

Has nothing to do with fighting the power. Has everything to do with a wage that an individual accept. Employers would.never find enough workers for a wage that doesn't even cover the bare necessities of life. They do find plenty of workers in NYC because their wages are supplemented with various welfare programs.

You have a gross misunderstanding of how markets work but that's just how the politicians in NYC like it. Why would everyone be paid equally if we shrunk the welfare state?

The conversation is entertaining

But you need to start looking at things differently

The above is incoherent. Your argument rests on a false premise. I surmise it does because the current system benefits you. There's nothing wrong with that but be honest about it.

Well if it's incoherent that will simply be your loss

Do you speak more than one language? If the answer is yes, yet you still find my post incoherent, then the problem is not with me

Unfortunately this is not a cohesive society and we are all contributors, if you want honesty

But that depends, what do you consider cohesive?

If only I looked at things the way you do, I could also live in M-L in a high crime neighborhood and suck on the government teet?

Maybe I should sell my homes, divest of all savings/investments, stop working , get a minimum wage job, plead poverty, get on all the welfare programs I can and see how great the NYC welfare state is?

You want more people on welfare because it makes YOU feel better (drag everyone to the lowest common denominator). In a room full of blind people, even a person with one functioning eye feels like a king.

I want less not because it would make me feel better but because it will lead to a better overall NYC.

You could never look at things the way I do, because you're not me (and vice versa)

What I am able to do however, and which I think you're currently not capable of, is seeing things from two sides of the coin. It would eliminate a lot of your frustration.

You see two sides of what coin? You haven't been acquainted on both sides to see the other side. I have.

My only frustration is that you can't firm a coherent argument.

No, what you want is for capitalism to benefit you. As it should. And as long as capitalism exists, you will have welfare, and all these issues you like to discuss. You want to end welfare? End capitalism then.
