Or, in our case, a Rat Czarina.

I think this was promised by Bloomberg, wasn't it?

Welcome, Kathleen Corradi! I'm sure we all wish you the best.

What? No one is pleased except me?

Here's more:

Dear Rat Czar of New York: Hear Our Eeks
Rat Horror Stories the New N.Y.C. Rat Czar Needs to Hear
New Yorkers have encountered rodents in toilets, on trains, in bed. And that’s not all.

“I was just minding my own business on the train,” Ms. Schofield said, “and a rat just, like, wanders over my foot. And he was in no hurry.” Her reaction was vocal: “I shrieked because, you know. There’s a rat walking across my foot.”

There aren't enough letters in alphabet for number of new "czars" and other positions created by Bloomberg, BdeB and now Adams. These are all highly paid persons with fully staffed offices all of which will be entitled to pensions. There's a tech czar, nightlife czar... now a "rat" czar.

Nothing these eegits do couldn't have been handled within current appropriate city agency.

You would have thought that the Dept. of Sanitation would have handled all of this.

DOH and DSNY just needed to work together more closely. Creating a whole new position and office just wasn't necessary.

Wasn't "Rat Czar" one of the main characters in the movie Midnight Cowboy?
