It's that time of year, and that type of year (winter 2019 4 years ago was followed by some important event the following November...)
Will MASK MANDATES return?
They have in Washington:
Hospitals and medical centers have to wear them when there is an outbreak of anything. We have to wear them (the blue ones, not N95) in the nursing home. So far this fall we've had 2 separate Covid outbreaks, the first with 22 people testing positive, the last one only a few. Now half the building has RSV.
Just because they are masking up in medical facilities doesn't mean mask mandates are coming back. We are required to mask up here, but patients and visitors are not.
Same where. And everyone I know, family, coworkers.
Me too. Thought I was the only one. It's been three weeks and I wasn't getting any better so started to get worried. I even took a covid test. No covid just one of those lingering colds. It's only today that I'm starting to feel better.
This is interesting. My aunt and uncle just called this morning to cancel our get together this Christmas because they all contracted Covid. This is their second time getting it and they've actually all been up to date on their booster shots, strangely enough.

But it's not "strange." The vaxxed and boosted ARE the ones who get Covid -- over and over.
The few people I know who aren't, including myself, have never had it. Go figure?
Oh, and it will never be "gone," any more than the common cold and seasonal flu are "gone."
ain’t no politician gave me this annoying cough. luckily it isn’t worse
Maybe in an indirect way. Aren't you living in a "sanctuary" city with people who have come through the border. So, maybe indirectly politics did give you that annoying cough. It could be allergies, maybe mold if it has been damp, as fall is a season of allergies for many, and reactions to pollen, mold, etc. can change from year to year. You might consider looking into the possibly of allergies, as I have read they are a real issue in NYC in the fall.

Oh, you know the line they feed us "But, I didn't end up in the hospital.", while little do they realize that most deaths were for people 80+, people that had very serious illnesses that would have died from the common cold also, and that many deaths were not COVID deaths, but a person that might have had COVID when they died.
