For all those moaning about how small lottery or whatever apartments are, well things are tough all over.

At $1,700 per month rent gets you on average 211 square feet in much of Manhattan and rest of city.

Things are slightly better in Queens where same money gets you a whopping (on average) 234 square feet.

our building in bay terrace is 2100 a month for a studio 600 sq ft , rent stabilized.

nothing at 1700

I paid that but more for a 250 ft apartments over 10 years ago.

Just grab your stuff and wait on the migrant lines and eventually Gov. Hochul will give you a free apt soon.

Yes, that's true! I think it's sad.

I lived on St.Mark's between 2nd and 3rd. It was a primitave tenement apartment, but it had a balcony, 1 bedroom, and it faces the street. Stores, bars, and restaurants were open almost all night.
