Easton has undergone major revitalization since you sold your Poconos home. It’s actually becoming a great little city with lots to do and lots to eat- even on a Tuesday night.

Today I had an interesting day in Souderton/Hatfield while shopping.
On the drive home it is not uncommon to see wildlife along the road that have
met their untimely demise at the hands of automobiles. This time was different.
I pulled over to picked up a snapping turtle trying to cross over to the pond. A
good 5 pounder. Traffic actually stopped for me until I set it down by the pond.
Muddied hands. No bites. Just some scratches. Real legs are powerful.

Felt good. Did my good deed for the day..........

Update:

Today was busy.
Visited Ollie's in Bethlehem for some garden stuff.
Hit theMcDonalds in Hellertown for some coffee.
Picked up some flowers in Rosedale Pa. Great prices.
Finished up with BigLots in Allentown for some curtain rods.

People were very courteous. The drive was beautiful.
Plenty of cops, Pickups, pony tails, purple highlights and
yup....even Maga hats.

Hit some outdoor tag sales along the way.
Nothing we needed but nice to checkout.
Only one place posted " political speak not tolerated. "
Hahaha.........Imagine that. Whispered to my wife
"Me thinks her hairclip is on too tight."

My wife turned to me and said " Don't you dare. "

Hahaha.........everyone is a comedian.

Do retirees pay half at gas pumps in PA?
You might want to watch your mileage so not to go broke too soon…

Congratulations and enjoy your new space. Love the descriptive comment too. Good on ya!

As an aside, aren't you glad you don't have the baggage some other people do on C-D?

Especially considering Pa has a 58 cents per gallon gas tax that is forever rising.

Retired, good job! Turtles are prolific on the roads in my area. My husband stops every time. We now have 3 turtles - one that’s over 30 years old and 2 found injured in the road that he couldn’t bear to leave behind.
